two pairs pants (one has pleats on it for andro days)
a shirt that says C on it
a short that says IM NOT SORRY
another shirt that’s less exciting
new headphones
three cds
lots of new undies
toiletries (shampoo/cond, soap, toothpaste, eye make up remover, razor, tampons)
car cell phone charger
a coffee

so decent haul, at least i have a new outfit to look forward to tomorrow

Unnecessary “fillers” in our speech. I’d rather have “like” than up-talking, though (if we had to choose one, that is). Ewwww, up-talking. Then again, a combination of the two would render me homicidal maniac.

Like, did you ever notice? That, like, the speech patterns people, like, think are stupid? Are, like, commonly associated with, like, women?

And, like, there’s this thing? Where, like, women aren’t supposed to be, like, assertive? So they, like, qualify their speech? Because, like, we’re not supposed to, like, stand by our opinions?

1) humiliate women so they don’t feel qualified to speak authoritatively about anything

2) humiliate women for speaking in such a way that reflects how you treat her

3) laugh, you are superior because you don’t use words like “like.” It isn’t as if being a huge stupid asshole has ever made you worse than a woman who speaks with verbal tics.

Women have unique speech patterns, and NPR even did a show about the unique patterns of just teenage girls that we create to add more depth to the English language where it is lacking in vocabulary. And our culture say those girls are stupid and uncultured. So like, omg, you can go fuck yourself, patriarchy.

ok we give free stuff away at my second job to people who come to our tent

apparently after we run out of our current stock of freebies we’re not ordering anymore

so i guess we will have um shopping cart tokens and recycling bags to hand out

which is fine i guess except the whole point of our tent is that we have these games which are mainly aimed at children

most of the people who visit us are kids

so wtf are we supposed to hand out to kids

gonna complain about my job ok here goes

As a society, we are fascinated by fictional psychopaths. Humankind has an ‘ongoing… fascination with tales of gruesome murders and evil villain. Popular culture abounds with depictions of the mad and the bad; and aberrant psychology has proved a fertile source of such material to the novelist and the reader alike. Perhaps no single disorder holds as much morbid cultural appeal as psychopathy.

There is no question… that readers feel empathy with and sympathy for fictional characters and other aspects of fictional worlds’, yet it is difficult to see how one can empathise and identify with a character who is himself incapable of empathy. If empathy and identification are both the goal and the reward of reading literature, then we are left with a striking ambivalence which needs to be explored.
